Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and UNMASKED LLC ("UNMASKED," "we," "us") and govern your use of the UNMASKED mobile application and related services ("the App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who can use UNMASKED

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the App. By using UNMASKED, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that you will use the App only for lawful purposes and only on conversations you have a legitimate right to view.

2. What UNMASKED is, and is not

UNMASKED analyzes the language in conversations you submit and returns an interpretation, including a deception score and a breakdown of signals such as deflection, vagueness, and contradiction.

UNMASKED is an insight tool, not proof. Its output is an automated interpretation of language, not a statement of fact about any person, and not a lie detector. It is provided for personal, informational purposes only. It is not legal, psychological, medical, investigative, or professional advice, and it must not be used as the sole basis for any decision that affects another person's rights, relationships, employment, or wellbeing.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

Use the App to harass, stalk, threaten, or harm any person.
Submit content you obtained illegally or do not have the right to access.
Present the App's output as a definitive or expert determination about a person.
Reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or attempt to disrupt or misuse the App.
Use the App in any way that violates applicable law.

You are solely responsible for how you use the App and how you act on its output.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and renewal

UNMASKED is offered through auto-renewing subscriptions. Current plans are:

Yearly at $79.99 per year.
Weekly at $24.99 per week.

Pricing may vary by region and is shown to you in the App before you confirm. The following terms apply to all subscriptions:

Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device account settings after purchase.
Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies, not by UNMASKED directly.

5. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, branding, and content we provide, is owned by UNMASKED and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes under these Terms. You retain ownership of the content you submit.

6. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App's analysis is accurate, complete, or reliable, or that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use the App and rely on its output at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UNMASKED and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, relationships, reputation, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UNMASKED from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
